TAKI's contribution to the world map of saline soils

Staff from the Department of Soil Mapping and Environmental Informatics and the Department of Soil Physics and Water Management have successfully contributed to an international initiative launched by the Global Soil Partnership (GSP) to produce a 1-kilometer resolution world map of salt-affected soils.

Although the GSP and FAO have not yet published the compiled world map, a detailed methodological description of the Hungarian saline map series produced by our staff and its completion is available in their dissertation published in Remote Sensing journal (D1, IF = 4.509):
