Our colleague János Mészáros will be conducting field measurements in Chile between 28 December 2018 and 15 February 2019 as part of the Hungarian Dry Andean Research Programme. The primary purpose of surveys is to collect topographical data from the areas examined, from which it is possible to deduce the volume of rock glaciers, the locations of small basins (meltwater traps) and traces of subsurface ice loss.
