Soil-dwelling mite and springtail assemblages were studied in winter wheat and maize plantations within a long-term fertilisation experiment in Martonvásár for two years. The results are published in Q1 journal Applied Soil Ecology.

In our publication in Journal of Maps, we mapped the phosphorus content of the Lake Balaton sediment with ammonium lactate extractant using various environmental auxiliary variables and regression kriging. Our article published in Water is about a geostatistical method we have developed that allows the joint modeling of the phosphorus and nitrogen contents of lake sediments and the prediction of changes in their relative proportions.

The professional evaluation committee selected Gábor Szatmári, senior research fellow of our institute, as one of the winners of the Junior Prima Award.

Our institute was involved in the award ceremony four times: Gábor Szatmári was awarded the Róbert Bárány Prize, while Péter Csathó, Kálmán Rajkai and Tibor Tóth were awarded the title of Research Professor Emeritus.

In a greenhouse experiment, the effect of irrigation water containing Selenium was examined on different plants in different texture of soils. The results were published in the Q1 journal Plants.

The Institute for Soil Sciences is organizing a lecture day entitled "The Role of Soils in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals" in the framework of the Hungarian Science Festival.
