Rights of plants

Rights of plants

Speaker: Dr. Tünde Takács, Department of Soil Biology

The use of natural resources by the inhabitants of the Earth far exceeds the available resources. Reserves are depleted, biodiversity is steadily declining, and the number of global ecological problems is growing rapidly. By the end of the last century, it became clear to mankind that the condition for our survival and development was the creation of a harmonious coexistence with the environment. Our treatment and behaviour with the environment is determined by our human-centric approach and is limited by rights and obligations. What can a plant do, what rights does it have against us?
